AUTHENTIC Framed Fabric Swatch from WWI German Fighter Airplane FOKKER D-VII U.10
originally sold at the Smithsonian Institute to raise funds for restoration
This airplane was flown by pilot Lt. Heinz von Beaulieu-Marconnay. The airplane and pilot were captured on November 9, 1918 by three United States Pilots from the American First Pursuit Group. The square of fabric is approximately 2 by 2 inches. Matted and framed overall 24" Ă— 19". This is an AUTHENTIC artifact of the plane's restoration originally sold by Smithsonian Institution in the late 70's.The original airplane that this piece of fabric came off of is now part of the National Air & Space Museum. A true WWI German Airplane relic.
There is minor age spots in a few areas of the paper but nothing major
