    Description

    Offered for sale is this vintage December 2nd 1950 Newspaper publication titled THE GAELIC AMERICAN DEVOTED TO THE CAUSE OF IRISH FREEDOM AND THE PRESERVATION OF AMERICAN INDEPENDENCE in good overall condition. It is Volume XLVII No. 48-Whole No. 3405 and was an Irish Catholic Newspaper owned by John Devoy and ran from 1903-1951. It was a weekly paper and this 1950 Dec. 2 Edition is nearing the end of the publication. It was published out of New York City. The paper measures about 17" by 11" and has yellowed from time as to be expected. There is light wear on the edges and fold lines as the photos show. It is still very readable and can be a very hard publication to find! This would make a very special addition to any serious collection.
